2. Information We Collect

MusicEcho is a real-time music visualizer that turns the frequency content of sound into 3D visuals. We follow the principle of data minimization:

• No Audio Collection: Microphone and system sound are analyzed on your device in real time only to drive the visuals. Audio is never recorded, stored, uploaded, or sent off your device.
• No Account Required: The App does not require account registration or login.
• No Tracking: We do not track your behavior, analyze your usage patterns, or collect analytics data.
• No Third-Party Services: We do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

3. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions to function properly:

• Microphone (iPhone / iPad): To analyze ambient sound in real time and render the visualization. Audio is processed locally on your device and is never recorded or saved.
• Screen Recording (Mac): On Mac, the App reads the currently playing system audio via Apple's ScreenCaptureKit to drive the visuals. We use only the audio; no screen images are captured or stored.

The App does not request or use any other permissions (such as location, camera, contacts, Bluetooth, health data, etc.).

4. How We Use Information

Since we do not collect personal information or audio content, we do not use any information for profiling, advertising, or analytics purposes. The App operates entirely on your device.

5. Data Storage and Retention

• Local Processing: All audio analysis happens on your device in real time and is discarded immediately after. We do not upload or store any content on our servers.
• Local Preferences: Only a small amount of app preferences (such as theme, camera framing, and onboarding state) is stored locally on your device, with no personal information.
• No Server Collection: We do not collect or store any user data on remote servers.

6. Network Access

The App only queries Apple's public endpoint for the latest App Store version number in order to notify you of updates. This request contains no personally identifiable information. Apart from this, the App performs no other networked data transmission.

7. Information Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information to any third parties. Since we do not collect personal information or audio content, there is no data to share.

8. Data Security

Since all processing happens on your device and we do not collect or transmit any information, your privacy is inherently protected. The App operates within the system security sandbox and follows Apple's app security guidelines.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for users of all ages. Since we do not collect personal information, it is safe for minors to use under parental guidance.

10. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal information, there is no user data to access, modify, or delete. You can simply uninstall the App to stop using it.
